Things that guide the DSAC

  • You have the same rights as everyone else.
  • You are able to say what you want to have happen in your life.
  • You are supported to be part of your community.
  • We need to know what people in your life think too.
  • We need to get to know you as an individual and give you respect.
  • You and the people who support you make choices together.
  • It is OK for you to make some choices that you know include some risks.
  • We will not tell people about what you say and do, unless you say it is OK.
  • We will encourage you to make your own choices without us.
  • The most important thing is what happens in your life.
  • Our aim is for you to do what you want and get what you need.
  • We will support communities to welcome all people.
  • We want you to be part of every section of community.
  • We will show respect to all people.
  • We will keep asking you what you think about us.
